a few fun cards

January 13th, 2009

just a few fun cards that I’ve made recently with my new stamps. I’m also still trying to work with my new Copic Markers. They are fun and really nice, but also it’s tough to get the hang of shading, etc.

You will notice in this picture of the Rocket Ship that the ink is a bit smudged. I’m trying to find an ink that I really like - so far the one that is working the best is Momento Ink in Tuxedo Black. It doesn’t run at all when I color with my Copics. I really like how the dots on the Rocket Ship card turned out - I used the stamp set “Riveting” and clear embossed. Embossing adds such nice texture to cards!

Supplies: SU! Cardstock: Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss. Riding Hood Red Ribbon. Nestabilities. SU! Pun Fun, Riveting Stamps. Clear Embossing Powder. Corner Rounder Punch, Copic Markers

This card uses “Heartfelt Thanks” - I’ve been wanting this set for a while - it’s really not my usual style - but it’s SUCH a pretty set. I think it will make a lot of nice greeting cards. The ribbon in this card was some gorgeous Ribbon that I grabbed from a Christmas Present this year. Isn’t is so pretty? I had to use it on a card!

Supplies: SU! Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla. SU! Ink Riding Hood Red. SU! Heartfelt Thanks, Absolutely Fabulous Stamps.
