Craft Fair Goodies: Teacher Nugget Tins

November 1, 2010

in Altered Stuff,Craft Fair

Up until now, I've only ever used these nugget tins to house candy. I stumbled upon this wonderful blog post by Niki Estes & just had to try it. In her design, she used this template from Nichole Heady & made a box full of supplies that are essential for every teacher. I followed her idea & used the "Teacher's Apple" stamp set from PTI to embellish & make this gift perfect for any teacher on your list:

All boxes contain: a glue stick, paperclips, eraser & some mints. I then added either some binder clips or push pins to finish off that other compartment.

The template from Nichole's blog was super easy to use & fits perfectly inside these Nugget Tins! I will be selling these for $5 each at my craft fair.

FYI: I get my Nugget Tins from this website. They are also available at Papertrey Ink's website.

Hey Kerry, Love this idea…even checked out Specialty bottles to order some myself….how many did you order to make it worth your while to order? Shipping is a killer!!! 15.83 for 20? OH MY! What did you do?

it is a killer. I ordered mine a long time ago & I ordered a bunch. I think if I had to order again, I’d do some hunting for lower shipping costs.

I am going to make one of these cute tins for my son’s Kindergarten teacher for Thanksgiving. I was telling him this morning we should make her something to show we’re thankful for her being able to teach you all these new things! :) LOVE your items!!!!
