Craft Fair Goodies: Altered Boxes

November 27, 2012

in Altered Stuff

I had some of these boxes left over from quite a few years ago. I believe I originally purchased them on Joann.com - I decided to finish them up and hopefully sell them this year in a fair.

I turned a few of them into recipe boxes:

Paper on this box is called "Easy Breezy Summer Fresh Paper" from Simple Stories.

The paper on this next box is an older sheet that I had in my stash, I believe it's from Jillibean soup -not sure if it's been retired...

This next one is just to hold stuff. You know, every girl needs a fun box to hold all her stuff, right? ;)

The best part about this project was that I was able to use up some scraps from my paper and ribbon stash.  The paper on that last one is from the "Little Girl" Echo Park collection. I used American Crafts Thickers for the lettering on all 3 boxes.

I am always glad when I can use up supplies I have on hand - hoping this inspires some of you to do the same!

How much do you usually price these at? They are super cute!

Hi Kerry,
I too love your blog and all of your great ideas!! You are so creative and I just love all of your gift ideas. I love to create as well and as you will see on my facebook page; I use a lot of different mediums. My biggest problem though is knowing how to price things. We live in a really depressed area of central Florida so I don’t want to overprice but yet, don’t want to loose money either! How do you come up with your prices for your local fairs and festivals? Thanks again for sharing all of your terrific ideas and tutorials. You are a blessing to me and many others!

Hi Kerry,
I agree you are such a blessing! You have inspired me in many different ways and have given me confidence where I was lacking. And we’re complete strangers! Thank you for always sharing your ideas and how to make them. This post was wonderful bc I have the same box sitting on my desk half-finished as a recipe box for my sister. Now I have a finished product to see and motivate me! Thanks again.
