some more Scrapbook pages

August 12th, 2009

Hi everyone! Here I am with some more scrapbook pages that I’ve been working on recently. It feels so good to get some scrapbooking in again. I just love scrappin’ photos of Matthew & Catie. They are such cute kids and are so photogenic!

To see any of these pages larger, just click on them.

This first layout is using all K & Company stuff. Those felt flowers were super fun to use - they combined perfectly with the Designer Paper. I also thought the color of Catie’s shirt matched nicely. I used American Crafts Thickers to create the Title.

These papers from Cosmo Cricket were perfect for a boy page. Matthew loves airplanes and the colors go nicely for a boy. I used my Cricut to cutout the word “tooth” and the other words are Heidi Swapp Chipboard letters that I sprayed with Tim Holtz Stain. Scallop circle was a Sizzix die that I cutout, and filled the inside with some circles. I used a Hero Arts stamp to make the journaling lines, and just cut them down to fit inside my circle. I inked all of the edges of papers with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

This one of Catie is from a while back - when she was much younger. I had these photos of her with her Elmo Doll - the perfect reason to purchase the Sesame Street Font Cricut Cartridge when it went on sale! I love my Cricut - it’s one of the best tools that I have! All fonts in this layout below (& chalkboard background) are cutout using the Sesame Street Font Cartridge. How cute is Elmo?

hi kerry. i love your blog. this is the first time i’ve ever posted you a note to let you know you’re work ROCKS.

i am curious to how you submitted your work to cards magazine to be published. i’d love to give it a try sometime…i never know if anything would be good enough to submit. but have often wondered what’s the procedure for submitting.

    would love to hear back.

Was the scallop Sizzex die the one Stampin up has and if so what size is it. They have one really big one, but I don’t know if it will go through the cuttlebug. I know you use one too.
Thanks, your pages are always so creative.

Hi Susan - it was indeed the Sizzix Scallop die - although I didn’t get it through SU! - you can get it directly from Sizzix, or through SU. They are both the same size. I don’t know the exact dimension of the scallop, but I do know that it fits very nicely through my Cuttlebug. I don’t own a BigShot :) Hope that helps!
