Product Review: 3M’s Post-It Craft Paper

September 23rd, 2009

The lovely people over at 3M sent me some samples of their new Post-It Craft Paper to play with. This paper comes in all different colors, is a bit thinner than cardstock, but has a sticky back to it so that all you have to do is cut, peel the backing off & stick onto your project. I thought I would share a video of my experiences with it, and some project ideas I had for it.

You can currently find this product at Joann’s.

Here are some pics of the projects I made, be sure to watch the video for details on a few of them…

Paper Pieced Card:

Simple card made using punches, adhering Craft paper straight to the card:

using the Craft paper as a mask:

Overall I think it’s very useful, especially in your Cricut. (Provocraft actually endorses this paper). I am sometimes hesitant to use my Cricut for paper piecing because it involves lots of pieces, glue & patience, LOL. So the fact that this paper comes off the cutting mat with adhesive already on it works great for me.

Anyway, here is the video - hope you enjoy!!

Thanks for the demo. Quick question. I noticed you storage for the foam for your distress inks. What type of storage is it? Please share your great idea. THanks :)

I hear ya with the adhesive on all the small little parts! How about the dots for i’s or exclamation points? Talk about irritating! You mentioned blade depth, what depth did you have it on (blade and pressure)? Great video and cute projects! Thanks!!

Blade depth was on 4 I believe, pressure was on the 2nd one down…so not all the way up, but just one down from that. Sorry, I’m not in front of my Cricut so I can’t remember :)

it’s actually the little package that the foam pieces come in. Pretty lame storage idea, but it works for now :) I just stuff them back in there when I’m done!!
