Video Tutorial: Rudolph’s Spares
November 8th, 2009
hey everyone, I’m back!! Sorry it’s been so quiet around here lately…it took me a little bit to catch up from vacation.
Anyway, I thought I would post a quick little video that I did showing you how I created these Rudolph’s Spares treats. I sell these for $1.50 each at my craft fairs - and so far they seem to be a good seller! They make a really fun stocking stuffer.
Inside the tins are Red Hots candy. These are the tins that I used. You can get them in the wedding section of your local craft store.
Oh, and something I didn’t show in the video..I added a tiny bit of Crystal Effects to the red nose to give it just a little bit of dimension & interest.
Here is the video, hope you enjoy!!

Thanks for the video! Love it. Hopefully, I will get a chance to make some for Christmas this year! So Cute!
Love these…so cute! Where did you find the red sticky tape? What is it called?
Kerry, what a fun idea!!! I think I might make some of these for my DD classmates ;D. Thanks for sharing this fun idea. Hugs and blessigns, Sabrina

How cute, cute!
So fun and super super easy to do! Will for sure add this to my to do list soon!
That is the BEST video. I love it! Great music, great visuals, great idea. Thank you!!!!!
I love these! I just wanted to tell you that I found some of these tins in our wedding favor’s section at wal-mart today. It was a pack of 30 for $19.00. That makes them about $0.63 each. I bought some and can’t wait to get started!
So cute! I’m going to make some for my regular card club attendees!! I’m wondering what font you used for the sentiment? Thanks for sharing.
These are wonderful. I can’t wait to make some. I think the only missing item I do not have is the SU stamp set. Thanks for the wonderful video and the great idea.
the font is called “Kirsten ITC”
awesome!! I use my 40% coupon when I go to AC Moore to buy these, that’s a great buy though too!
Hi again! I’ve ordered the sticky tape and can’t wait…Thanks! What stamp set is the reindeer from?
it’s from “Deer Friends” by Stampin Up - it’s a retired hostess set from last year
- one of my faves though…!!
I made these but I notice the lids will sometimes come off if I am not careful when I pick them up and I want to avoid red hots spilling all over the place…what do you do to avoid this? And BTW I LOOOOVVE your blog…I come here every day!
when I applied the sticky tape, I made sure to apply a little just around the seam so that it would keep the lid on tight.
@Kerry
Oh man that totally makes sense…any suggestions on what I could do if I didn’t do that and they are already completed? I was just going to bag them up in little tiny bags- but next time I will definitely do it your way! Thanks for the help!
