Video Tutorial: Rudolph’s Spares

November 8th, 2009

hey everyone, I’m back!! Sorry it’s been so quiet around here lately…it took me a little bit to catch up from vacation.

Anyway, I thought I would post a quick little video that I did showing you how I created these Rudolph’s Spares treats. I sell these for $1.50 each at my craft fairs - and so far they seem to be a good seller! They make a really fun stocking stuffer.

Inside the tins are Red Hots candy. These are the tins that I used. You can get them in the wedding section of your local craft store.

Oh, and something I didn’t show in the video..I added a tiny bit of Crystal Effects to the red nose to give it just a little bit of dimension & interest.

Here is the video, hope you enjoy!!

    I love these! I just wanted to tell you that I found some of these tins in our wedding favor’s section at wal-mart today. It was a pack of 30 for $19.00. That makes them about $0.63 each. I bought some and can’t wait to get started!

    I made these but I notice the lids will sometimes come off if I am not careful when I pick them up and I want to avoid red hots spilling all over the place…what do you do to avoid this? And BTW I LOOOOVVE your blog…I come here every day!

    when I applied the sticky tape, I made sure to apply a little just around the seam so that it would keep the lid on tight.

    @Kerry

    Oh man that totally makes sense…any suggestions on what I could do if I didn’t do that and they are already completed? I was just going to bag them up in little tiny bags- but next time I will definitely do it your way! Thanks for the help!
