So I decided that this year I would take a break from my usual array of Craft Fairs to spend more time with family (mostly our little peanut, of course!). However, if you’re following me on Facebook, you may have read that I’ve decided to participate in a “Holiday Shopping Night” event in Wakefield, MA on November 10 from 6-9pm. I like this event as it’s only 3 hours, it’s very festive & fun, and quite frankly a LOT of people show up. This will be my third year doing the event and I’ve done well each year. I encourage anyone local to come by – there are a LOT of great booths!

So with that said: I need to get my buns into gear and make stuff. I’ve been working on Christmas stuff the past few days. Here are some Santa Hershey Bars which are sort of a repeat from years past. This year, I decided to just make them wrappers & skip the whole “slider” thing. (to be honest these are quicker & easier to make.) These hold full size Hershey chocolate bars (yum!)
The other good part about these is that you can get 2 wrappers from 1 piece of 8.5″x11″ cardstock. I love that. I always try to make my projects make sense measurement wise so that I use the least amount of paper possible.
Dimensions for these:
- Red Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 6″
- White Cardstock: 2″ x 5 1/2″ (punch each side with Stampin Up Scallop Border Punch)
- Black Belt: 5/8″ x 6″
- Buttons: 1/2″ circle punch
- Buckle: cut from the Cricut Paper Doll dressup cartridge. Click here for more info on that.
Super easy to make!!
On another note…I just wanted to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of you who have reached out to me regarding Jen’s Helping Hands. Whether it was email, a card in the mail, a donation, coupons, etc. – you all are AWESOME and I am blown away at your generosity. It amazes me that people can be so thoughtful & giving to someone whom they have never met before!
To update you a bit: I have been collecting your cards & donations and I plan on sending them all to Jen in a care package in a few weeks. There was a huge fundraising event held in Jen’s honor this past weekend that we all attended. It was wonderful & a huge success. Since I was seeing them in person, I brought a large box full of items that I had already collected from others, some of which I was able to purchase with donations from you awesome readers They were SO appreciative and I really can’t wait to send her more – especially some of these amazing cards you guys have created. WOW! You all do such amazing work. Anyway, keep it comin’ – there is still time if you would like to send a handmade card (or even store bought! Doesn’t matter!) Anything to make Jen & her family smile
